A serial entrepreneur with a 20-year career in the US tech and media sectors, Scott built and exited three companies. After considering early retirement, Scott felt a strong calling to start Verdant Frontiers in 2013 to fight poverty in Africa by creating large-scale businesses generating compelling investor returns. Since its inception, Verdant Frontiers has launched 14 ventures in Africa, with a combined value of $180M. Today, Verdant employs more than 1,000 workers, the majority of whom were freed from extreme poverty. The company's goals include achieving a portfolio value of over $1B & creating more than 10,000 jobs in the next decade. Scott co-founded a family with his best friend, Karen, & they are raising three children in Austin.
