Born and raised in Jakarta, Astrid Paramita moved to Melbourne to pursue her education and earned her food technology degree from RMIT University. She spent 12 formative years in Australia before returning to Jakarta, where witnessing the deep gap between abundance and need became a turning point. Together with her husband, she began rescuing surplus food from wedding events, which grew into FoodCycle Indonesia. Astrid now leads system design, operational strategy, and data-driven execution across FoodCycle’s food rescue, waste processing, and urban farming programs.
