We believe that Christian entrepreneurs who are spiritually serious, culturally astute, and in community have a unique ability to build a better society and demonstrate the beauty and goodness of the gospel across all of life. The Praxis community seeks to help entrepreneurs operate more fully through a redemptive lens, all while being serious about the growth of their venture.

A mentorship-driven program, the Praxis Business Accelerator equips top ventures as they seek the redemptive edge in their industries. We accept just 12 startups every year, with up to two leaders per organization.

A Rule of Life for Redemptive Entrepreneurs

A rule of life is a set of shared habits and practices, undertaken in the belief that we need help from one another to live the lives God meant for us. This Rule of Life is not meant to replace the ordinary practices of faithfulness to which all members of the church are called. But it is meant to guard us and our households from the greatest dangers of the entrepreneurial vocation, and to maximize our opportunity for redemptive influence.

The Rule of Life suggests specific personal practices to steward six essential capacities of entrepreneurial leaders: our time, money, imagination, decision-making ability, power, and formative community.

At Praxis, our work with Nonprofit Fellows in the Accelerator program, and our team's and mentors' own nonprofit leadership experiences, have helped us to gain insight into the challenges and opportunities of leading a nonprofit.

Our playbook for nonprofit leaders is an invitation to design, plan, and take redemptive action in six interconnected domains of nonprofits that drive its sustainability and impact: story, programs, team, board, funding, and leader identity.

Program Cycle

The program is anchored by three intensive in-person gatherings over nine months, with regular virtual sessions—full-cohort events, small-group working sessions, and check-ins with core team mentors—in between.

Over the course of the program, Fellows interact personally with 50+ mentors and team members through small group discussions and one-on-ones.

Fellows also benefit deeply from the experiences of their peers. They encourage and challenge one another, engage in problem-solving sessions on key issues, and introduce one another to their own networks.

During the Redemptive Imagination Summit, Fellows close their program year by presenting to the community (including hundreds of potential funders) in their program Showcase.

The Future of Culture

The world we'll live in tomorrow will largely be shaped by the imagination of today’s entrepreneurs. Yet not all of that cultural influence is leading to healthy lives or positive social impact today. The world needs entrepreneurs and builders who follow an alternative script of purpose, success, and human flourishing.

Our Opportunity

Entrepreneurs who are spiritually serious, culturally astute, and in community can be winsome witnesses for the truth, goodness, and beauty of the Christian gospel—through their leadership behavior and in the products, services, brands, and organizations they build.

The Future of the Church

The Church is in an age of crisis. Yet we can be optimistic about our public witness and our ability to engage the next generation in the faith. Both will depend on the praxis—the faith in action—of Christ-followers who are committed to love and serve their neighbors. This includes entrepreneurs and builders of ventures of every size, structure, and sector.
